How Symphony Created a Comfortable, Dust-Free Workshop at CEPT University Without Changing the Building Structure

Challenge

CEPT University’s engineering workshop is a semi-open space where students work with wood and metal. The team, headed by Mr. Kaulav Bhagat, faced a few specific requirements while planning the workshop’s cooling. The workshop needed effective cooling for a semi-open space used for wood and metal work. Any cooling solution had to be added without changing the building’s architecture or structure. Wood and metal work generate dust, so the environment also needed to stay clean and dust-free for the health of faculty and staff.

Solution

To address these requirements, the CEPT University team reached out to Symphony’s technical team and they studied the workshop and proposed a solution built around natural cooling combined with Symphony’s air-cooling system. The system was integrated without any change to the building’s architecture or structure, so the workshop’s original look was preserved. The setup was designed to fit the semi open layout of the workshop rather than requiring it to be enclosed or modified.

Performance

Once installed, the system delivered a noticeable improvement in day-to-day working conditions at the workshop. Students now work in a comfortable environment suited to wood and metal work. The air-cooling system also keeps the workshop dust-free, supporting the health of faculty, Students and staff. The system runs on notably lower power consumption compared to other cooling systems.

Result

CEPT University is satisfied with the outcome of the project. Mr. Kaulav Bhagat and the workshop team report being happy with the system’s performance. CEPT University recommends Symphony’s industrial cooling system to other educational workshops and institutes with similar needs.
