 Challenge

Hotel 10-Park Street in Gorakhpur’s Gol Ghar market hosts regular cultural events on its open terrace, accommodating hundreds of guests per event. A 4,500 sq. ft. outdoor terrace presents a distinct cooling challenge — open-air spaces require high-volume airflow to counter heat, and dust accumulation is a persistent issue in a busy urban market location. High dust levels and uncomfortable temperatures were affecting guest experience and limiting how long visitors would stay at events.

The management needed a cooling solution that could keep the terrace environment comfortable, ventilated, and dust-free during events, without generating noise levels that would interfere with performances or guest interaction. The stage and kitchen areas also required dedicated cooling for performers and kitchen staff.

Solution

Symphony Venti Cool designed a two-part deployment for the hotel. Two VC25U units were positioned to specifically cool the stage and kitchen area, ensuring a constant supply of fresh, clean air to the most activity-intensive zones of the terrace. For the main terrace space, three Movicool DD125 PAC 20U industrial coolers were installed on the roof with top-discharge ducts connecting to the terrace below.

The PAC 20U units were additionally connected to a 50-foot duct with a plenum installed inside the event tent — enabling deep, directional airflow across the full terrace area. The 12 jet nozzles on the PAC 20U units actively reduced dust settlement by maintaining continuous positive airflow across the space.

Performance

Following installation, the terrace maintained a well-ventilated, cooler, and noticeably cleaner environment during events. The 50-foot duct and plenum configuration enabled airflow to reach all areas of the tent without requiring additional floor-level units. Dust levels reduced significantly due to the continuous jet nozzle airflow. The VC25U units kept the stage and kitchen zones at comfortable working temperatures, and all units operated at low noise levels appropriate for event use.

Result

Hotel 10-Park Street confirmed improvements in air quality, dust control, and guest comfort — all of which contributed directly to increased guest attendance and business growth at the venue. The success of the project was visible to neighbouring hospitality businesses, with two to three hotels in the area — including Radisson Blu — subsequently choosing Symphony Venti Cool units for their own venues to achieve the same standard of cooling and air quality.
