Challenge
Delhivery operates a large sorting centre in Delhi covering 80,000 sq. ft. During summer months, the facility was subjected to intense heat that made working conditions extremely uncomfortable for sorting staff. The consequences were operationally significant — absenteeism was high, workers were taking extended break periods to escape the heat, and the centre’s daily throughput and processing capacity were taking a direct hit. The management needed a cooling solution that could maintain a consistent, bearable ambient temperature across the entire floor to keep the workforce productive throughout their shifts.
The scale of the facility — 80,000 sq. ft. of continuous floor space — required a system that could deliver uniform cooling without gaps in coverage, and that could be installed without causing extended disruption to the centre’s sorting operations.
Solution
Symphony Venti Cool’s team assessed the sorting centre and deployed 18 Venticool 20U top-discharge units across the facility. Each unit was fitted with four-side cooling pads to deliver high-volume airflow coverage across the floor. The top-discharge configuration was selected to push cool air downward from height, ensuring even distribution across the large open floor plan without obstructing sorting operations at ground level.
The system was designed to continuously replace hot air in the facility with cool, fresh air — maintaining a consistent ambient temperature throughout shifts. Following the success of the Delhi installation, 70 additional LSV units were deployed across Delhivery’s other warehouse locations across India, standardising the cooling approach nationally.

Performance
The 18 Venticool 20U units maintained a consistently cooler environment across the full 80,000 sq. ft. sorting floor during operational hours. Hot air was continuously displaced, and the ambient temperature remained stable throughout the working day. Staff were able to sustain their work pace across full shifts without the heat-driven interruptions that had previously impacted output. The units operated reliably and efficiently, with energy consumption appropriate for the scale of deployment.
Result
Delhivery confirmed that the installation directly addressed the heat-related productivity losses that had been affecting the Delhi sorting centre. Absenteeism reduced and extended break patterns normalised as the working environment became consistently comfortable. The national rollout of 70 additional units to other Delhivery warehouse locations further demonstrates the scalability of Symphony Venti Cool’s large-space cooling solution and Delhivery’s confidence in its ability to protect workforce productivity across their network.
