Challenge

Twills is a well-known fashion retail brand in Vijayawada, offering clothing, bags, shoes, and accessories for men and women. The brand operates a large godown in the city that employs several hundred workers involved in storage, packing, and distribution operations. The godown was experiencing severe heat and poor air circulation, creating a suffocating environment that was directly impacting worker productivity — staff were unable to sustain their pace, and the uncomfortable conditions were affecting daily operational output.

Management had specific requirements for the cooling installation: ducts needed to be positioned at height to avoid interfering with floor-level operations, the air supply had to be clean and consistently distributed across the full godown space, and the system had to be reliable and fail-proof to ensure uninterrupted daily operations.

Solution

Symphony Venti Cool’s team assessed the godown’s dimensions and operational layout and recommended five Venticool 20U units. To meet the client’s requirement of keeping ducts away from work areas, all duct installations were positioned at a height of 40 feet — well above the operational floor level. This configuration enabled clean, cool air to flow downward and distribute evenly across the large open floor area without obstructing any godown activity.

The Venticool 20U was selected for its four-side cooling pads for superior and consistent airflow, cool flow dispensers for enhanced distribution, and a UV-stabilised, weather-resistant engineered plastic body built for sustained performance. Each unit covers up to 1,200 sq. ft., and with five units in operation, the system provides effective cooling coverage across the full godown floor.

Performance

Following installation, the 40-foot elevated ducts delivered evenly distributed, clean cool air across the entire godown floor throughout the working day. The Venticool 20U units maintained consistent airflow without performance fluctuation, and the elevated duct positioning kept all work areas fully unobstructed. Air quality inside the godown improved significantly, with the filtered output from the cooling pads replacing the hot, humid ambient air that had previously made working conditions uncomfortable.

Result

The Twills godown workforce experienced a significant improvement in working conditions following the installation. Workers were able to resume full-pace operations without being hindered by heat or poor air quality, and daily productivity at the godown returned to normal levels.
